How Fun!!

So....last Saturday I went and helped my coworkers at an event of giving away shoes at a local church!! I must say, if you ever get a chance of doing something like this, than do it!! There is nothing more fun than being able to sit down with a child and put a brand new pair of shoes on their feet! The majority of the children I helped, had holes in their shoes and the shoes were too small! So we were able to give them something that fit just right!! Although I found that it was even better to kind of look over the child and find a shoe that not only fit right, but fit their style as well!!
Oh the joys on their faces when they got "cool" shoes!! One little boy must have been around 3 years old and I figured "Bob the Builder" would be just right and they were!! LoL
But on a personal level, for me putting shoes on a little child feels absolutely amazing in my soul. You are able to sit and chat with the child a bit, hear a little about their lives of where they go to school and how many brothers and sisters they have. You get a little glimpse into their little worlds and its amazing to think of their lives to come!
We can only pray that from events like these, that lives will be renewed, bondages will be broken, and that God's love will abound even in the darkest and most harshest situations. We can only pray!
